Witches Ride Participant Registration

The 7th Annual Witches Ride of Ocean Springs is BACK! Don’t miss the fun in downtown Ocean Springs, October 26th at 5:30PM! This FUNdraiser helps to raise money for local animal welfare organizations all while having a Witchin’ good time!

By registering, you agree to the Witches Ride Participant Rules below and the 2024 Witches Ride of Ocean Springs Liability Waiver. Please see below for full details!

WITCHES RIDE PARTICIPANT RULES



  • Please help us be good neighbors to the city of Ocean Springs and its workers: *NO HARD CANDY IS ALLOWED* per City of Ocean Springs rules. Please help keep our streets clean!

  • All registered participants must wear an official Witches Ride wristband, which will be included with their registration and will be picked up during check-in at "The Gathering" on Oct 26th from 2:30PM-5PM.

  •  This year, each type of participant will be grouped together by type, in the following order: golf carts, then tricycles/bicycles and lastly walkers. For safety, walkers will not be able to walk next to golf carts or bicycles, they each must stay in their own group.

  • WITCHES FLY! Witches must keep moving along the route, as the roads need to reopen quickly. Witches who stop along the route may be left behind and asked to step off of the route. Please note: All walkers must be able to keep a steady walking pace.

  • Due to safety limitations, the Witches Ride only allows walkers, those riding bicycles and tricycles, and those riding in golf carts. Witches are not permitted to use scooters, one-wheels, motorized scooters, homemade floats or skateboards and riders in/on wagons are not allowed. For witches with mobility concerns, you are welcome to use a manual or power wheelchair or scooter, or a manually-powered mobility aid such as a walker, crutches, or cane.

**IMPORTANT: Please read the Participant Release of Liability found here. You must agree to the terms found here in order to finalize your registration. 

AGE POLICY: The ride is only for registered adults aged 18+. Children are NOT allowed to join or participate in the official ride even if they are in a cart, strollers, wagons, or walking. PET POLICY: Pets are not allowed in the Witches Ride of Ocean Springs, even if they are in a cart, wagon, or bag. CANCELLATION/RAIN MAKE-UP POLICIES: The Witches Ride of Ocean Springs is a RAIN OR SHINE event! The only way the event will -not- be held is if local officials prevent it from happening due to occurrences such as natural disasters, lightning pandemics, or catastrophe. There is a scheduled makeup date for Oct 27 at 5:30pm. REFUND POLICY: this event is a fundraiser for local animal welfare and there is NOT an option for refunds.

Are you ready to FLY?! Join us this year for the 7th Annual Witches Ride of Ocean Springs in downtown Ocean Springs, October 26th at 5:30PM! Dress in your witchiest attire, decorate your broom, and load your brooms with plenty of treats to toss to all those lining the downtown streets of Ocean Springs! This FUNdraiser helps to raise money for local animal welfare organizations all while having a "witchin' good time"!

Due to safety limitations, there are a limited number of participant registrations available, and in 2023, the event sold out in 3 weeks! Once tickets are gone, they won’t be back until the next year’s Witches Ride!

Witches will check-in at Freedom Field for "The Gathering" beginning at 2:30PM on Oct. 26th (27th rain make-up). All registered participants MUST check in by 5PM when check-in closes. Following the judging and mandatory safety briefing, witches will then will fly to the beginning of the route at Pershing Ave and Government St. They will head West to Washington Ave and South to end less than 1 mile away, near the Ocean Springs Community Center. All registrants will receive their choice of an official Witches Ride of Ocean Springs T-shirt or tank (color may vary due to availability). All registered participants will also receive one free Halloween Pub Crawl Ticket.

IMPORTANT: The Witches Ride of Ocean Springs is a RAIN OR SHINE event! The only way the event will not be held is if local officials prevent it from happening due to occurrences such as lightning, natural disasters, pandemics, or catastrophe. In case of cancellation due to weather, there is a rain make-up date of October 27th at 5:30PM.

Please remember, this is foremost a fundraiser for local animals and the Witches Ride is proudly a family-friendly event that is free to spectators. Please plan accordingly for your costumes and decorations!
