The Witches Ride of Ocean Springs is a whimsical ride through the beautiful, historic downtown of Ocean Springs, Mississippi.  Witches from near and far fill the route in colorful costumes whether walking, on broom cycles (bikes) or golf carts handing out treats to thousands of spectators! The Witches Ride of Ocean Springs started flying in 2018, with the goal of helping better the lives of animals by donating the ride’s proceeds to local animal welfare organizations!

The ride is held yearly at the end of October, consisting of men and women over the age of 18, who want to have an evening of flying fun, giving treats to children along the route all while helping local animals in need! The ride includes awards presented to the Best Performance, Best Costume, Best Group, Best Broom Contest and Best Golf Cart! The event has also grown over the years to include Bingo Nights, Pub Crawls, Broom and Hat Decorating Parties and more!

In 2019, Witches Ride of Ocean Springs became an official 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization registered with the state of Mississippi. And we’re so proud to say that say that since the start of our ride we’ve donated over $63,000 to local animal welfare groups and agencies! Spectators are invited to line Washington Ave and Government St to catch treats to watch as almost 500 costumed witches and wizards fly down the street on feet, cycles and golf carts! This event is family-friendly and safe and fun for all ages. Spectators are invited to join in the fun in their best and most creative costumes!
